Haptic Mode
On each Orca Series Linear motor there’s a kinematics based controller that enables you to record, save, and play back position based motion profiles from directly on the device. There is also an on-board haptic controller for controlling force effects to simulate things like springs, dampers, inertia, oscillations, and constant forces. As all the control is done within the motor, there is no external communication latency! Check it out in our new video.
VRX Simulation Partnership
Iris Dynamics is excited to announce a strategic partnership with the world-renowned simulation company, VRX Simulation. This dynamic collaboration will see VRX Simulation integrating Iris Dynamics' state-of-the-art magnetic linear motor products into their cutting-edge motion systems for applications ranging from 2DoF (degrees of freedom) to 6DoF motion seats.
The Orca-6 LITE

If you didn't catch it, Iris Dynamics introduced The Orca-6 LITE last month at half the cost of the standard Orca-6 motor. This incredible product maintains the same level of sensitivity, silence, and high-speed precision performance as the rest of Iris's force-controlled linear actuator lineup.
