This May, Iris Dynamics was excited to exhibit for the fourth time at Automate 2025 in Detroit, MI. We loved meeting everyone who stopped by our booth to learn about our force feedback and sensing technologies and discuss their innovative applications. This year, we gave attendees an opportunity to "try before you buy" with a FREE ORCA-3 offer for machine builders, integrators, and OEMs. If you missed us this year, not to worry. We documented the show on a daily basis, highlighting each of our exciting demonstrations. This year at our booth, we gave attendees a hands-on experience with our force feedback demo station, highlighting the ORCA's four different modes of operation. We presented our latest force sensing demo, the Mini-RAVEN, and helped to optimize current systems with our pneumatic replacement demo. Experience Force Sensing Six Degrees of Freedom Mini-RAVEN

Meet our newest demonstration: the Mini-RAVEN. A six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) platform made from ORCA 6s instead of ORCA 15s. The Mini-RAVEN maintains the benefits of using Iris’ smart linear motion technology, boasting low latency, accuracy, high speeds, and complex motion control, but with a smaller footprint and great controllability. Each ORCA motor is connected to an LED strip that visually responds to applied force, showcasing the motor’s precise force-sensing capabilities.

Say Goodbye to Pneumatics with Drop in Electric Replacement

PRODUCTS USED: ORCA-3-36V

See how easy it is to replace loud and unreliable pneumatics with a seamless drop-in electric replacement, featuring our latest ORCA motor. In this demo, the IO SmartHub is receiving the same digital signals as those triggering the two solenoids enabling the pneumatic cylinder's movement, without needing to reprogram or replace active PLC systems. By triggering the ORCA’s kinematic operating mode, the motor excels over pneumatics by its ability to compensate for mechanical wear and system changes, ensuring sustained performance over time.
