When Modbus RTU Makes Sense for Your Application

Users who want to control their ORCA motor from a PLC or embedded microcontroller solution may directly use the Modbus RTU interface over RS-422. Modbus enabled PLCs will benefit from the drop-in standard Modbus functionality on the ORCA. Embedded solutions will require a custom Modbus client, but can reach the highest rates of communication without operating system constraints that limit the orcaSDK. Modbus RTU can be used in tandem with IrisControls.
